Perfect for the holidays or a simple weeknight meal, this Crockpot Green Beans recipe is full of flavor — everyone will ask for the recipe!

These green beans are truly exceptional. While they’re often made for holiday meals, they’re equally welcome any night of the year. You can cook green beans on the stove, but using the crockpot saves time and frees up space, making these slow-cooked beans an easy favorite.
A bit of bacon adds a savory depth that takes these beans from good to unforgettable. The bacon cooks right in the crockpot along with the beans, infusing the dish with rich flavor. If you prefer, you can brown the bacon briefly before adding it. You can also substitute fresh green beans for canned ones — just rinse and trim them well and add extra liquid to compensate for the drained cans (about 1 1/2 cups water and 1/2 teaspoon salt works well).
