After saving for a couple of years and finding an unbelievably cheap fare, we’re finally taking the kids on a long-awaited trip to Hawaii. It’s not every day (or every thousand days) we get to go on an adventure like this, so I’m beyond excited. I’m actually writing this while on a plane to Maui and thought it was the perfect time to share a Hawaiian trail mix I adapted from @healthyhappyhome. I’ll admit I’ve never loved traditional trail mix (raisins = 🤢), and I usually end up picking out all the M&M’s. But this Hawaiian version is different — I can’t get enough of it! The combination of macadamia nuts and coconut chunks is so addictive. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Ingredients
- Salted macadamia nuts (I used an entire bag of Trader Joe’s)
- Coconut cashews (about 1/2 a bag from Trader Joe’s; Walmart carries similar)
- Roasted coconut chunks (a whole bag from Trader Joe’s)
- White chocolate chips, about 1 cup (add more if you have kids who will pick them out)
- Dried pineapple chunks (optional)
- Dried sweetened banana chunks (optional)
- Golden raisins (optional)
- Any other nuts or dried fruit you enjoy (optional)
